Living things grow and reproduce. At Community Christian, we believe that God’s church is a living thing, and should also be growing and reproducing.
Our core vision is Helping People Find Their Way Back to God, and the goal is to see the church in the Silicon Valley grow to 5% by 2030. Church attendance in Silicon Valley is currently estimated at 1% of the population, with little change in the last decades.
Within each campuses, we seek to engage and disciple each individual who calls Community home through the 3C’s
- Celebrate – Gather with others to celebrate what God is doing in and through us
- Connect – Join with others for ongoing growth and encouragement
- Contribute – Use your time, talents, and resources to impact our world
Our plan is to plant campuses across Silicon Valley, ministering to each of the 136 language groups in the valley. As each campus is planted, it will replicate itself every 18-24 months, seeding and supporting a new campus site.
Pastor Kyle Windsor came to the First Baptist Church of Morgan Hill in 2010, with 4 members in attendance. The church was rebooted as Community Christian – Morgan Hill campus later that year. The campus has experienced consistent growth, with a current regular attendance of over 500 people, and a variety of classes and ministries stemming from that growth.
The Campbell campus began in 2012 with 125 individuals.
As our newest site, the Gilroy campus was launched in 2015 with 40 individuals.
God describes the local church as a family. As members, we are all a part of the family and both receive from each other and give to each other. This “Life Together Covenant” identifies the expectations for living in Christ-centered community as we seek to fulfill our mission together. When you join the Community Christian’s family, you freely and willingly choose to take upon yourself the responsibilities and expectations outlined in this covenant.
I have made the personal decision to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. This means I believe what the Scriptures communicate about who He is and what His sacrifice means for me. I believe the climax of God’’s saving work was Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection from the tomb. There, God sacrificed himself for my sin, won forever the victory over sin and death, and revealed to me the extent of His love.
I have been immersed through baptism as a believer in Jesus Christ. I need to schedule a time to be baptized.
I commit myself to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ through daily prayer, meditation on His Word, and regularly participating in a Community Group environment to deepen my commitment to the body of Christ.
I commit to demonstrate a servant’s hearts by using my time, talent, and treasure for the completion of the work and life mission He has called me to complete.
I intend to prayerfully and intentionally seek opportunities to share the story of life-change that God has given to me so that others may receive His gift of grace.
I commit to the biblical principle of tithing as an act of obedience and an expression of my worship to God. As the Holy Spirit leads me, I also agree to live out generosity by giving additional offerings and gifts.
I commit that my actions and behaviors will be guided by the values of the Community Christian’s family, which are embracing:
- Biblical Truth
- A Family Focus on Healthy Relationships
- Broken People Needing God’s Amazing Grace
- Community Transformation
- A Lifestyle of Simplicity
- Servant Leadership
- Spiritual Reproduction
- Risking All For King and the Kingdom
