ICEBREAKER: Who do you know that seems to be always thinking of others before themselves? Describe how they act.

Discussion Questions
- Read Philippians 2:5-8. Describe “the attitude” or “mindset” that verse 5 talks about. Is it hard to keep that mindset? Why or why not?
- Read Philippians 2:3-4. Paul calls us to unity in verse 2. Why do you think the commands in verses 3 & 4 are important for establishing unity?
- Read Philippians 2:9-11. Why does God exalt Jesus Christ (vs. 10-11)? The ultimate reason is the “glory of God the Father”.
- When God exalts you, His glory is shown to others. Do you desire to be exalted by God? If yes, are you ready to serve others in humility? What does that look like?
- Are you ready to be great to glorify God? How can our group help you?
MOVING FORWARD
Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus’ example of servanthood and being worthy of glory. We want to bring glory to You because there is no other greater than You. Help us to live as Jesus did…serving others and putting others before ourselves. Help us to be filled with Your spirit so that we can serve from an overflow of your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
