He also serves as a mentor and coach for individuals nationally and internationally. He has been part of God’s work in the Middle East, Latvia, Ethiopia, and Copenhagen. Sam met his late wife, Norma, in the Bay Area where their son and daughter reside. When not ministering overseas, Sam attends Community Christian.

Ted & Judy Olsen

Ted and Judy Olsen met in Cape Town, South Africa but now reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Judy started her career in the medical field, while Ted started his in investigative news journalism. That was, until they felt called to serve God in a different capacity. The Olsens have been a part of God’s work in India, Nepal, Myanmar, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Canada. They’re currently on mission with Global Fellowship to reach the world’s unengaged and unreached people groups. Their Biblical focus is on local fellowship as the answer to spreading His word and discipling all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). They help train each country’s nationals with the tools, Biblical stories, and knowledge to share with their communities. When the Olsens are not abroad they enjoy keeping up with their 2 sons and 13 grandchildren.

Community has one more international missionary, working to share the love of Jesus. Due to the inherent danger of working in this particular country, this individual's name and location are to be kept private. Please be praying for safety as they continue to help people find their way back to God.
